Infância e Juventude: Um breve olhar sobre as Políticas Públicas no Brasil.

Abstract	O presente artigo retrata um pouco a historia da crianca e do adolescente no Brasil, bem como as politicas publicas sociais voltadas para o atendimento da populacao infanto-juvenil. Observa-se ao longo da historia que politicas conservadoras sao substituidas por outras politicas de cunho assistencialista, mantendo as familias criancas e adolescentes sob a tutela do Estado, bem como suas familias longe das decisoes judiciais. Embora se vislumbre saidas para essa situacao, na decada de 90 com a implementacao do Estatuto da Crianca e do Adolescente, ainda ha muito o que se fazer principalmente no que tange a mudancas de mentalidade de tecnicos e do poder publico responsaveis pelo atendimento e implementacao dessas politicas publicas. Abstract:The present article retracts a little of the history of children and adolescents in Brazil, as well as the social public policies that are directed to attend the infant-juvenile population. It possible to observe throughout history that conservative policies are substituted by more protective policies. keeping the families, children and adolescents under the State custody, and they also keepthe families distant from thejudicial decisions. However it is possible to catch a glimpse on a way out for this situation, in the 1990s, with the implementation of the Children and Adolescent Statute. There is still a lot to do, mainly about changing the mentality of technicians and the ones who are responsible for the implementation and attendment of these public policies.
