| Abstract | We present a dialogue system that allows agents to exchange a rguments in order to come to an agreement on how to act. When selecting arg uments to assert, an agent uses a model of what is important to the recipient age nt. The system lets the agents agree to an action that each finds acceptable, but d oes not necessarily demand that they resolve their differing preferences. We pr esent an analysis of the behaviour of our system and develop a mechanism with whic h an agent can develop a model of another’s preferences. |
