| Abstract | Climate change is the greatest risk facing humanity today. The serious consequences of this phenomenon have been noticed since the 1992 Rio Declaration on Environment and Development. After this, several transitions began in different disciplines to protect the environment and reduce the emission of greenhouse gases in the world. Various treaties and transnational discourses have served as a pillar to advance in the care of the environment. Likewise, the countries have issued more protectionist laws and that promote sustainable development in their territory. Colombia is a country that must continue to improve and improvise its regulatory development for the protection of its natural resources and the promotion of environmentally friendly projects. Through the articulation of environmental standards and economic sectors, the country can achieve a large number of sustainable projects. The most important projects that Colombia should take advantage of are renewable energy. There is a great availability of natural resources for this type of energy. However, these projects are expensive. This is why the various international mechanisms to promote them and improve the conditions for future generations are set out in the following text. |
