Abstract	espanolLa efectividad de las medidas judiciales establecidas en la Ley Organica 5/2000 de Responsabilidad Penal de los Menores ha sido cuestionada en reiteradas ocasiones, fundamentalmente en relacion con la reinsercion social de los menores infractores. Sin embargo, han sido pocos los estudios que han analizado la aplicacion de las medidas judiciales y las variables que son relevantes en el exito de la ejecucion de las mismas. Con objeto de profundizar en este tema, en este trabajo se han analizado un total de 1048 expedientes de menores infractores archivados en el Servicio de Justicia Juvenil de la provincia de Jaen, desde 2001 hasta 2010. De los expedientes consultados se han analizado variables judiciales y socio-demograficas de los/las menores. Tambien se ha analizado la relacion entre la implicacion familiar y variables como el cumplimiento de objetivos en la medida judicial y la reincidencia delictiva. Los resultados muestran que la colaboracion e implicacion familiar es un factor clave en el exito de las medidas judiciales con menores infractores. EnglishThe effectiveness of the established legal measures in the Organic Law 5/2000 concerning Penal Responsibility of Young Offenders has been criticized over and over, especially with regard to the young offenders' social rehabilitation. Nevertheless, there are very few studies that have analyzed the execution of the judicial measures and the variables associated with the success of such measures. Therefore, a total of 654 closed judicial files of young offenders from the Service of Juvenile Justice in Jaen (Spain) were analyzed. From the files consulted, legal and socio-demographic variables were analyzed, as well as the link between family involvement and variables such as compliance with the goals established in the legal measures and recidivism. The results showed that the collaboration and involvement of the family is a key factor for the success of judicial measures with young offenders.
