| Abstract | In the present work we find a compilation about the whole structure of the electric market, from how it begins in its history to its evolution and how it is currently. In 2018, many complaints were filed in the coastal area of the province of Manabí, due to the fact that, according to a large part of the Manabi population, it was suffering from a notable increase in the tariffs for the use of electricity, awakening the doubt of why this problem is due, prompting to carry out this investigation which collects the data of the rates in the year 2018 in Manabí and comparing them with those of the city of Guayaquil, arriving to know that in Guayaquil there are lower rates than in the province of Manabi. |
