| Abstract | Depth reproducibility is an important consideration in evaluating 3D display systems. A binocular parallax 3D display does not require viewers to wear special glasses to see 3D images, but there have been very few quantitative analyses of its depth reproducibility. In this study we quantitatively analyzed the depth reproducibility in a parallax panoramagram. The results showed that with a parallax panoramagram, depth-reproduced images look less compressed or stretched out. These findings indicate that a binocular parallax 3D display is more suited to a parallax panoramagram 3D display system. |
