| Abstract | At the bottom of the Lower Cambrian in Kuruktag of the northeastern Tarim Block, there is a rock association composed of black cherts interbedded with argillous cherts and crystal tuffs. The black cherts and argillous cherts indicate abyssal, anoxic environment. The crystal tuffs, which are in conformable contact with the upper argillous cherts, indicate strong vocanic activities during early sedimentation. |
