Abstract	espanolLa investigacion describe la percepcion de enfermedad (PE) en afectados de Sindrome de Marfan (SM) y EhlersDanlos (SED). Se seleccionaron 86 afectados (74.2% mujeres). La PE fue evaluada mediante el IPQ-R (adaptacion de Pino-Ramirez, 2015). Los resultados indican una fuerte identidad en el grupo con SED, relacionada con una PE cronica, ciclica y con consecuencias negativas. Las creencias de control personal y tratamiento, en ambos grupos, son lo suficientemente fuertes como para reconocer sus habilidades para manejar la enfermedad y beneficios del tratamiento, comprendiendo origen genetico, incurabilidad y consecuencias adversas de sus enfermedades, expresando emociones negativas moderadas. EnglishThe research describes the Illness Perception (IP) in affected by Marfan Syndrome (MS) or Ehlers-Danlos (EDS). 86 affected were selected (74.2% women). The IP was evaluated through the IPQ-R (adapted by Pino-Ramirez, 2015). The results showed a strong identity in the group with EDS, related to an IP seems as chronic, cyclical and with negative consequences. In both groups, the beliefs of personal control and treatment were strong enough to recognize their abilities to manage the disease and benefits of treatment, understanding genetic origin, incurableness and adverse consequences of their illnesses, expressing moderate negative emotions.
