| Abstract | The proliferation of personal devices and their con sta t awareness of our interactions, together with an inc reasing storage capacity, have generated an enormous amount of information that can be useful to help the user obt aining relevant information when needed, instead of compli cating his life with unrelated and useless data chunks. We present a framework that uses the personal information on u ser's devices, together with public online sources, to pr vide useful and relevant information from the user persp ctive, in an iterative seeking information process. The in formation retrieved from the users' personal devices, due to its personal and trustable character, works as a filter to the information retrieved from other less trustable and structured sources. Due to different representation s used by the several possible sources, we defined a single s tructure to allow inter-relating the information as a coherent whole, instead of separate chunks. To evaluate our approac h, we present an example application which purpose is to obtain relevant information about some person. The results , analyzed together with the users', suggested that, in most cases, it is possible to obtain relevant informatio n about someone, either they were expecting it or not, reso rting both to personal and public information. |
