| Abstract | Of janeiro/2001 the dezembro/2002, in a Yellow Latosol (Oxisol) of Oriental Amazonian Embrapa, High Earth (altitude of 36 m, latitude of 00 43' South and 4r 50' longitude of West), the performance of the cv. Marandu pasture was evaluated in intensive rotational grazing system, with four and six days of grazing and 28 and 42 days of rest. A completely randomized experiment design was used. Pasture measurements were performed in 8 paddocks of 1,5 ha each and milk production was measured in two groups of 15 cows each, that had received two levels of concentrate supplementation. The concentrate was supplied in the proportion of 1 kg for each 3 liters of milklday. The availability of forage in the pasture of Marandu grass (TA = 2,95 + 1,26 and FA = 1,96 + 0,50 t of MS / there is. respectively and L/ S = 1,51 + 1,02.), was not a limitation for animal performance; the consumption levei made it possible to satisfy only the animais crude protein (CPL = 9,65% +1,33% and CPS = 7,30% + 0,59%) and energy (TDNL = 52,64% + 2,74% and TONS = 46,25% + 3,08%) only for the maintaining file:/ID:\8 Ruminantes\1595.htm 12/08/05 cows weight. For a cow to produce 10 kg milklday, the pasture could on/y satisfy 65,44% of CP requirements and 66,48% of TDN requirements, indicating the need for supplementation, the cows supplemented with concentrated increased the rnilk production, in about 27,21% in relation to the non supplemented. That difference tends to increase in the period dry. |
