| Abstract | The process of producing space, be it urban or rural, results in the increasing appropriation of natural resources and, as a rule, generates negative impacts on the environment. Soil and water education, one of the many dimensions of environmental education - EA, is an educational process that favors a conception of the term sustainability versus the relationship between man and nature. With the objective of elucidating and discussing the theme, and how we should approach it in a participatory way and that generates good results, this work was elaborated. In this way, there are a number of active methodologies, including EA, as well as soil and water education, which are presented as a training process that needs to be dynamic, permanent and participatory, in search of an “environmental awareness” and a environment. |
