| Abstract | O tema proposto parte do reconhecimento do progresso cientifico da historia religiosa medieval desde a decada de 80 do seculo XX e assenta em tres pontos: a identificacao de “lacunas”, situando-as no contexto da acumulacao do saber e da consciencia da complexidade desse saber; consideracoes acerca das fontes documentais e da sua importância para o labor historiografico; e a apresentacao de perspetivas de investigacao futura. Sao ensaiadas, a respeito deste ultimo ponto, algumas reflexoes teoricas e exemplificacoes de desafios concretos que se apresentam a historia religiosa em Portugal. This articles begins with recognition of the progress achieved in the field of medieval religious history as from the 1980s and based on three points: the identification of “loopholes”, placing them within the context of the accumulation of knowledge and understanding of the complexities of this field, considerations regarding document sources and their importance to historiographic studies as well as the presentation of future research perspectives. As regards this latter point, some theoretical reflections and exemplifications as to concrete challenges are proposed for the field of Portuguese religious history. |
