| Abstract | Protein interaction information is fundamental to understand the cellular processes. Due to that, much is being done to automatically infer protein networks from all types of biological data. This work proposes a biclustering method, Lbic, based on a logistic model, to analyze biological data in binary format. The proposed method is compared with two other biclustering methods from literature, showing improved results. Its performance is also compared to the ones from a supervised method, kernel canonical correlation analysis, applied to the same data sets. The experiments show that the proposed method achieves a performance very close to the supervised approach trained with up to 25% of knowledge of the target network. |
