| Abstract | Piotr MARECKI Jagiellonian University (Krakow) Subversive strategies in the 21st century Polish literature The author surveys subversive strategies on the field of contemporary Polish literature, understood here as authors’ attitudes and creative techniques. He discusses subversive strategies of Piotr Siwecki, Jaroslaw Lipszyc and Slawomir Shuty as the most characteristic. However the tools used in these analysis can be applied to a bigger scope of contemporary authors. Besides, he points to some innovative forms of production and playing with the market (purposely low circulation, leaving behind traditional book formats, open license), genres (hyperfiction, story art, mnemotechniques) and creative techniques (deejaying, remix, plagiarism). Subversive strategies are inscribed into a wider logic of change in the field of cultural production and a battle between the spheres of consecration and the avant-garde (from Pierre Bourdieu’s vocabulary of the sociology of art). |
