| Abstract | This research with objective to evaluate the effects of special designed training for enhancement of basic and specific characteristics of explosive strength was realized with 40 female volleyball players divided into three groups: the specially trained group consisted of 12 elite players which were undergone to a special model of training in order to enhance explosive strength of back extensors, leg extensors and calf muscles. The second, classic group consisted of 11 female volleyball players which implemented classic volleyball training with no emphasize on explosive strength. The third, control group consisted of 20 female non trained persons, but in a good shape. The main goal of this research was to analyze the effects of a special training for explosive strength enhancement on one side, and classic training on the other side, as it is known that both methods produce better characteristics of the explosive strength, i.e., the characteristics of the force- time curve and also represent the basic characteristics of the contractile capacity, but in the same time to provide basic information about high level sport performance of each player. The second objective was to define which of these methods (classic or specific) is more efficient on enhancement of explosive force of tested muscle groups in female volleyball players. In addition, it was necessary to define basic, specific and special characteristics of explosive muscle force developed in isometric conditions of back extensors, leg extensors and calf muscles of specially trained volleyball players, from the perspective of the characteristics of the force- time curve, and to be able to determine parameters of explosiveness and to compare it with results achieved from other two groups of tested athletes. The entire research was realized during six weeks (one mezocycle) in which the specially trained group implemented two weeks of basic exercise, followed up by 4 weeks of specially designed training; the classically trained group implemented traditional volleyball training during six weeks. All the test were realized with PROGRAM INZENJERING (Belgrade) equipment for muscle force testing, consisted of dinamometers of high sensitivity of 1.25 N, with range up to 7500 N. Three test were implemented: The “Dead Lifting” to evaluate the muscle force of back extensors; “Leg extension” to evaluate the muscle force of leg extensors; and “Sitting Rise on Toes” to evaluate the muscle force of calves. The rates of force development reached on 100ms, 180ms, 250ms of the onset of muscle contraction, as well as on 50% of the maximal muscle force and maximal muscle force of three tested muscle groups ( the back extensors, leg extensors and calf muscles). Also, the relative rates of force development of the muscle force detected on aforementioned levels of three muscle groups tested were evaluated, and the S Index, defined as a relation between the rate of force development of the muscle force of the onset of the muscle contraction and maximal muscle force; the Index of Synergy defined as a relation between the rate of force development of the muscle force of the onset of the muscle contraction and the muscle force reached at same level. It has been confirmed that basic, specific and special parameters of the contractile capacity of explosive force of three muscle groups of specially trained female volleyball players significantly enhanced force- time parameters developed in isometric conditions than the classically trained athletes. The absolute basic, specific and special rate of force development reached in isometric conditions of a specially trained group using plyiometric method significantly surpassed the same parameters than the classically trained group. Also, it has been demonstrated that the relative basic, specific and special rate of force development developed in isometric conditions is growing more rapidly with plyometric method than with classic method of training. The plyometric method of sport training realized in this research had demonstrated better results of Index S which represents the relation between the rate of force development reached on certain level of the onset of muscle contraction and maximal muscle force in isometric conditions, that the classic volleyball training. Special model of sport training had produced better results of Index of Synergy, which represents the relation between the rate of force development reached on certain level of the onset of muscle contraction and a muscle force reached on same level in isometric conditions, that the classic volleyball training. |
