| Abstract | Going deep into issues related to Human Resources Management, which detain a crucial role within organizations, is one of the most efficient ways of understanding how the practices associated to this Management can positively reverberate in organizational creation, innovation and sustainability and, consequently, in the competitive advantage promotion. This investigation aims to study the relationship between Human Resources Management (HRM) Practices and Professional Satisfaction, to which were applied the Questionnaire of Human Resources Management Practices and the Inventory of Professional Satisfaction through a 33 employees sample of a new technologies sector organization. The results show the existence of a positive relationship, though not as significative as expected, between HRM Practices and Professional Satisfaction, being, however, absent a meaningful difference between the Practices that most relate to the employees’ skills and knowledge increase and improvement and those related to their rewarding. It is also presented some of the investigations’ shortcomings as well as some future investigations’ suggestions.
