| Abstract | RESUME Objectifs. Etudier l’impact de l’application des recommandations du Comite Technique d’Echographie francais dans l’amelioration de la qualite des comptes-rendus d’echographie obstetricale du 2eme trimestre (CREO2T) dans quatre hopitaux universitaires de Yaounde. Materiels et Methodes. Etude experimentale de type essai clinique avant et apres introduction de l’intervention sur une periode de 08 mois consecutifs allant de Novembre 2013 a Juin 2014 dans 4 hopitaux universitaires de Yaounde. L’intervention a consiste en un mini atelier de sensibilisation et de formation des echographistes et en l’introduction d’un nouveau modele de CREO2T comme aide-memoire pour les echographistes. Par la suite, nous avons analyse la qualite des CREO2T et la satisfaction des demandeurs avant et apres l’intervention a l’aide de scores preetablis. Resultats. 100 et 65 CREO2T ont ete recrutes respectivement avant et un mois apres l’intervention. Nous avons obtenu un score moyen pour l’ensemble de 16,5/34 et 26,7/34 respectivement avant et apres l’intervention. Aussi bien avant qu’apres l’intervention, environ six images accompagnaient le texte du CREO2T avec en moyenne environ trois d’entre elles etant des coupes recommandees par le CTE. 36 et 38 demandeurs ont ete recrutes respectivement avant et apres l’intervention et le score moyen de satisfaction des demandeurs etait de 3,3/6 et 3,9 /6 respectivement avant et apres l’intervention. Lors de la formation, 19 echographistes etaient presents et leur score est passe de 11,2/20 a 16,5/20 respectivement avant et apres la formation. Conclusion. La realisation du mini-atelier avec introduction du nouveau modele de CREO2T comme aide-memoire a contribue a ameliorer les attitudes pratiques en termes de CREO2T ainsi que la satisfaction des demandeurs dans ces formations sanitaires. ABSTRACT Background. To study the impact of the implementation of the recommendations of the French Technical Committee of Ultrasonography (TCU) on the amelioration of the quality of the second term obstetrical ultrasound report (2TUOR) in four university teaching hospitals of Yaounde. Methods. Experimental study type before and after introduction of the intervention over a period of 08 months from November 2013 to June 2014, in the four university teaching hospitals of Yaounde. For this purpose, we had a sensitization workshop and training of sonographers in order to introduce the new model of 2TUOR as a working sheet. Thereafter, we analyzed the quality of 2TUOR and the satisfaction of referring physicians with specific scores, before and after the intervention. Results. 100 and 65 2TUOR were recruited before and one month after the intervention. We had a mean score of 16.5/34 and 26.7/34 respectively before and after the intervention. Before the intervention, about six pictures were used to follow the 2TUOR sheet with three being those recommended by the TCU. 36 and 38 prescribers were recruited before and after the intervention and the mean score of satisfaction was 3.3/6 and 3.9/6 respectively before and after the intervention. 19 out of 23 sonographers previously surveyed were trained and their average score was 11.2 / 20 and 16.5 / 20 respectively before and after the training. Conclusion. The organization of the mini-workshop with introduction of the model of 2TUOR as a working sheet improves the quality of 2TUOR and the satisfaction of referring physicians in university teaching hospitals at Yaounde. |
