Abstract	En el presente articulo se describe las consideraciones tenidas en cuenta por un colectivo de investigadores cubanos para la determinacion de una metodologia de evaluacion de las instituciones educativas, como parte de la creacion en Cuba de un Sistema de Evaluacion de la Calidad de la Educacion. Dicha metodologia pretende combinar armonicamente el rigor cientifico y la racionalidad de los recursos de medicion y favorecer el desarrollo de una cultura evaluativa entre los docentes y directivos, en ese importante eslabon del Sistema Nacional de Educacion que constituyen las instituciones escolares. Descriptores: evaluacion educativa - calidad de la educacion - evaluacion de centros Considerations for determining a methodology for institutional assessment in Cuban education In this article the considerations taken into account by a group of Cubans for determining an evaluation methodology of educational institutions, as part of the establishment in Cuba of a System of Quality Assessment of Education researchers described. This methodology aims to combine harmoniously the scientific rigor and rationality of measurement resources and promote the development of an evaluation culture among teachers and managers in this important link in the national education system constituting the schools.
