| Abstract | This work reports the first synthesis of highly aligned, pearl-like carbon nanotube arrays through a chemical vapor deposition process. The unique morphology of these carbon nanotubes makes it possible to spin them into macroscopic fibers with excellent mechanical and electrical properties. In addition, the interesting hollow structure of these nanotubes opens new applications such as nanoreactors. |
