Abstract	El articulo tiene por objeto analizar el concepto de Gobierno Electronico para posteriormente, exponer lo que paises como Mexico y Colombia estan haciendo al respecto. Es decir, se expondran los planes y normas que se estan aplicando para la incorporacion de las Nuevas Tecnologias de la Informacion y de la comunicacion (TIC) en cada una de sus administraciones, desde su implementacion, pasando por los avances suscitados e incluso los niveles alcanzados en comparacion con otros paises de Latinoamerica. Mexico es el pais que sigue al frente en cuanto a la implementacion de Gobierno Electronico se refiere, y Colombia en los ultimos anos ha dado avances importantes, colocandose dentro los seis paises con mayor desarrollo en este rubro. De esta manera las administraciones publicas ofrecen mas y mejores servicios al ciudadano. Abstract This paper examines the concept of Digital Government, as well as what Mexico and Colombia are doing related to. Therefore, it explores the strategies and policies in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), the implement’s process and the reached achievements which are been implemented by the Government of these countries in comparison to other Latin American ones. Mexico continues to be the leader in this issue and Colombia has made efforts and important progress in order to get a good place in this ranking, as a result, it is among the six most developed Latin American countries in this area. Hence, the Governments are able to provide more and better services to its citizens efficiently.
