EnglishThe aborigines of the pampa in the middle of the 19th century did not constitute a homogeneous world. Nevertheless many times in its different communities is possible to recognize, strategies define a "we" set against the "other", the white Christians. This situation was clearly seen by the national government and its institution advanced on the desert. As social construction, the identity was reinforced by means of mechanisms of resistance, innovation and appropriation whose aim was to control their own cultural resources and of those of the white that, they had already appropriated to make possible the existents o fan autonomous culture. The land, the language an their symbolism are important in this dynamic process. |
