| Abstract | A new route for the preparation of (Me3Ge)3N (2 a) using Me3GeCl and (Me3Sn)3N is described. Cp′TiCl3 (Cp′ = Me5C5 (la) and Me3SiC5H4 (lb)) reacts with (Me3Sn)3N to yield (Cp′TiClNSnMe3)2 (3a) and (3b). (Me5C5TiFNSnMe3)2 (3c) is formed when Me5C5TiF3 is treated with (Me3Sn)3N. The X-ray structures of 3a and (Me3SiC5H4TiClNtBu)2 (5) are reported. 3a and 5 consist in the solid state of four-membered Ti2N2 rings with the substituents in different positions. |
