| Abstract | The condition of a floor interferes with the comfort and safety of users. With this in mind, transport engineers are looking for new knowledge to improve the weather structure of the pavement and the loads it receives to bring more durability to the pavement. Thus, materials such as asphalt mastic, which consists of a petroleum asphalt cement composition with the addition of filler, have been commonly studied in order to observe the effect of the filler on the properties of the binder. The mastic has water resistance, it is a component that acts in the bond between the asphalt mix aggregates and, consequently in the asphalt content and mixing performance. The filler is used as filler for the voids of the mixture, changing characteristics such as workability and elasticity. For this work was used, in the formulation of asphalt mastic, the CAP 30/45 and, as filler, the basalt powder and metakaolin. From physical tests, the specific characteristics of the mastic were compared with the addition of different percentages of basalt powder and metakaolin. Addition of filler to the mixture was found to make CAP 30/45 more rigid and consistent. However, it made the mixture less workable, made less ductile and, if metakaolin used as filler material, made the mixture more susceptible to temperature variation. Keyword: Asphalt mastic. Feller.
