Abstract	Water was the key in Early Modern Times Economy. In this sense, it’s important to know how it was used, but how it was perceived. For that purpose, we analyze the statements from some foreign travelers who visited Spain during the XVIIIth Century. All these testimonies describe the water landscapes around Guadiana and Tajo, the most important rivers in New Castile.
