Abstract	This work proposes a multiobjective approach for transmission expansion planning considering security constraints (N-1 criterion) and minimum cost. Elitist NSGA-II multiobjective algorithm is used and the operative problem is solved trhough high order interior point method. The methodology is tested on 24 and 6 bus IEEE systems.
