| Abstract | | EN The pharmaceutical industry has raised investment to unprecedented levels, however the number of drugs approved by the regulatory entities remains low. In this thesis are been analyzed some data about the launching of new pharmaceuticals, trying to respond to the lack of proportionality between the previous variables. It was noted that there has been a constancy in the number of approved drugs, contrasting with the increase in investment made. It can be seen that the market is growing but limited by the current R&D model and its regulation, taunting the implementation of more conservative practices. Investment shifted from discovery to late clinical development, so the success rates of approval are increased but creativity and innovation are limited. It was sought to give the specific example of Finland, specifically about the medications used in Parkinson's disease. Similarities and exceptions were identified to the generality of the market, allowing some conclusions to be drawn. It is believed that disruptive innovation can leverage the market and will be based on the acceptance of the research of the discovery of high risk and the adoption of models of collaborative innovation. Therefore, it is imperative to have revolutionary leadership to guide the way, a change in the investment model and a better use of assets as creative resources. |
