| Abstract | This research was aimed at investigating (1) if there was a significant improvement of students reading comprehension achievement in a narrative text after the implementation of jigsaw technique, (2) aspect of reading comprehension that improved the most after the implementation of Jigsaw Technique. This research was conducted in SMPN 23 Bandar Lampung. The population of this research was the second grade students. The researcher used one class as a sample of this research. The data were collected by using narrative reading tests. The results of the data analysis show that there was a significant improvement of students’ reading comprehension achievement after the implementation of jigsaw technique. It could be seen from the improvement of the results in pretest and posttest with a gain of 21.70, from 51.00 to 72.70. In addition, identifying main idea was the highest aspect that received the most improvement. Therefore, the implementation of jigsaw technique in teaching narrative text reading can help the students to comprehend the reading test material, and improve their reading comprehension.
