| Abstract | The critical behavior of zero-momentum correlation functions of the energy-momentum tensor components near the second order finite temperature transition of the (3+1)-dimensional SU(2) gauge theory is studied. While the correlation function of the trace of the energy-momentum tensor is shown to diverge uniformly like the specific heat as the critical temperature is approached, the pressure-pressure correlation function remains finite. Implications relevant for the calculation of transport coefficients, in particular the bulk viscosity, in the vicinity of a second order phase transition are discussed. |
