| Abstract | The concern about the deterioration of the environment is one of the implicit elements of social responsibility. The municipality of Turbana in the Department of Bolivar of the Colombian Caribbean, characteristic is the territory where there is a clear need to address the environmental problems from a perspective of social responsibility. This paper lays out a methodological proposal for the implementation of a model of social responsibility for the management of urban waste, which involves a participatory assessment of the environmental impact caused by urban waste, the analysis of the Colombian environmental regulations and the causes of environmental degradation and the need for active citizen participation in the solution of the problem. |
