| Abstract | A qualitative and bibliographic documentary study which deals with the scientific nature of psychology and the main advances of science and technology in the XXI century in the world are presented, specifically in the biology, chemistry, physics, computing, telecommunication, medicine and neuroscience fields. The main precedents of the psychological research in Peru in the XX century are reviewed considering different environments, since the initial works in the 60’s, its development towards the 70’s, its expansion until 1990 and its subsequent retraction in the 90’s, focusing on the description of the Peruvian psychologists contributions achieved until the present. Their contribution is emphasized through their published works in the XXI century, as the ones of the psychologist researchers enrolled in the Concytec. It concludes with the challenge the new psychologic researchers have to confront facing the current psychosocial problems from our national reality and the possibility that the Peruvian psychology may be able to include the advances of contemporary science and technology, and especially of the cognitive science for a greater development in the scientific psychology in our country. |
