Abstract	Makassar City as a tourism destination has a lot of tourism potential that has not been well packed. The island area is one of the potential tourist destinations that provides a different form of tourism with tourism on land in general. This study aims to identify the tourism potential of small islands in Makassar City based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The method used in this study is the method of spatial analysis. The island which is the object of research consists of Samalona Island, Lae-Lae Island, Kodingareng Keke Island, Kayangan Island and Lakkang Island. Based on its potential, there are several tourism objects in the research area that are still categorized as developing, developing and almost extinct. Tourism objects that have developed categories are Kayangan Island, Samalona Island and Lae-lae Island. The undeveloped island is Kodingareng Keke Island, while the nearly extinct one is Lakkang Island.
