Abstract	Hyperthyroidism is a disease caused by the amount of thyroid hormone secreted by the thyroid gland is too high. Hyperthyroidism more common in women because during pregnancy, the developing fetus requires the intake of iodine more. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of induction sodium iodine as a cause of hyperthyroidism on the estrous cycle and histological structure of ovary of female rats (Rattus norvegicus). Hyperthyroid of female rats induced by excessive sodium iodine which causes Hipertirodisme. Parameter observed estrus cycle and histological structure of ovary of female rats (Rattus norvegicus). Section of ovary was staining by Hematoxylin-eosin. The results showed that the effect of hyperthyroidism in female rats cause estrous cycle of female rats become abnormal and influence the length in estrous phase. Histological structure of ovary of female rats (Rattus norvegicus) showed no difference between the control and hyperthyroid rats.
