| Abstract | Traditional research about grape juice quality parameters comprises large vineyard blocks and is focused on studying their temporal evolution in order to decide the optimal grape harvest time. This research paper presents a methodological approach to analyse spatial variability in grape fruit parameters, and shows the results obtained for four grapevine types in the Bierzo Designation of Origin. Results allow identifying homogeneous areas concerning grape juice quality parameters, reporting meaningful information for the vine grower, so that the most suitable crop techniques will be applied according to the desired type of grape juice/wine. The method is based on using statistics and geostatistics together with Geographical Information Systems (GIS). |
