Abstract	This paper presents a tool that seeks to model the fuel consumption of a truck off the road in an open pit mine, using real data collected from the mine monitoring system. These data feed a genetic algorithm, which looks for a model, which considers the characteristics of the routes, such as slopes and distance, approaching the actual consumption. In this way, the tool assists in the construction of new routes, the modification of existing ones and indicates economic routes, making operation costs more predictable.
