| Abstract | The objectives of this study were (1) to determine the shape of formating the junior high school students’ creative thinking character through Lesson Study-based Realistic Mathematics Education approach on the cubes and the cuboid materials in grade 8 SMP Negeri 1 Jember academic year 2013/2014. To determine the level of junior high school students’ creative thinking character through Lesson Study-based Realistic Mathematics Education approach on the cubes and the cuboid materials in grade 8 SMP Negeri 1 Jember academic year 2013/2014. Indicators of students answering questions from the teacher with many answers in a short period of 19.44%, 16.67% to 38.89%. Students find new or different ways to solve problems of 88.9%, 83.3%, to 97.2%. Students solve a problem with coherently than 75%, 83.3%, to 97.2%. Students respond with the correct presentation of 19.44%, 19.44%, to 30.56%. And students have a reason to justify answer is less precise than 0%, 13.89%, to 27.78%. Based on the percentage of observations that show students of SMP Negeri 1 Jember is quite creative, it is also directly proportional to the character formation of students' creative thinking. |
