| Abstract | Standard Reference Material (SRM) 3240 is intended primarily for use in validating analytical methods for the determination of ephedrine alkaloids and toxic elements in Ephedra sinica and similar matrices. This SRM can also be used for quality assurance when assigning values to in-house control materials. SRM 3240 is part of a suite of ephedra dietary supplement SRMs that have been developed to cover a range of natural matrices and ephedrine alkaloid levels. A unit of SRM 3240 consists of ten bottles of ground aerial parts, each containing approximately 5 g of material. |
