| Abstract | The results of the evaluation of the wind resource in urban areas are presented below. Focusing the analysis on flows of non-laminar winds or turbulent winds. Same as they occur in greater magnitude when the wind comes into contact with geographically uneven surfaces or when encountering obstacles such as mountains, valleys, forests, artificial constructions or buildings, roads, streets present in cities, etc. Which causes the turbulent wind to reach higher speeds and changes of directions than in laminar flow could not be used for the generation of electric power. Among the results of the research, an evaluation of the energy potential present in this type of scenarios has been achieved, supported by simulations carried out in computer programs such as Autodesk CFD, which allows for the presentation of different scenarios that could be presented and helps in the making decisions, to know the best place of an infrastructure where it is feasible to install microturbines. The data obtained can be analyzed mathematically with the aim of knowing more precisely the electric potential of said microturbines. The evaluation of the present energy resource has allowed to quantify the electric power that is obtained showing favorable results and opening a new alternative for the generation of electric energy sources that allow us to reduce the environmental impact to our planet. |
