| Abstract | Much has been written about integration of information, communication and technology (ICT) at schools. Research has demonstrated the importance of children getting familiar with technology since it s an unquestionable part of today's world and also due to the relevant learning experiences it enables. However, there is little research that detail and analyzes the specific process of integrating technology at school and especially at early childhood education. This is the starting point for our research, to study the practices in Portuguese kindergartens of children and teachers with ICT, more specifically using a computer. A questionnaire was sent via e-mail to kindergarten teachers throughout the country and to triangulate data, computer classes of 2 kindergartens were observed and documented. We draw conclusions on the collected data and present some opinions on the subject. |
