| Abstract | What does urban segregation mean in Mexico and what are its implications for this particular context? Th is article poses these two questions. Our response is based on the hypothesis of the "co-existence of isolated worlds." In order to support and develop this hypothesis, the author analyses the relationship between the objective and symbolic dimensions of urban segregation. Th e analysis is based on secondary data and semi-structured interviews with young people from poor and stigmatized neighborhoods in Mexico City. |
