| Abstract | We intend to inquire around the constitution of mod ern pedagogy in Bolivia and its direct implication with the forms of governance of society . We believe that during the early decades of the twentieth century, the State introdu ce in the educational system certain devices that enabled the establishment of a corpora l "rule" and a "regulation" in the population addressed to create a differentiation be twe n the indigenous/white and rural/urban, as part of the construction of a natio nal identity discourse. From the rollout of these devices of government, the modern state will be delimiting racial and social boundaries, where the indigenous body (individual a nd collective) will be the surface on which a particular national identity will register. Based on a Foucauldian perspective, we will understand pedagogy through the concept of "go vernment", namely as a variable and contradictory conglomerate of driving practices, su bjected to constant change and interdependence, presenting its genealogy as part o f the relations of power existing in the Bolivian society. For this purpose, our work will b e based on documentary sources of educational politics, reports and educational repor ts, as well as publications corresponding to the early decades of the twentieth century. |
