| Abstract | In order to evaluate, among students, some spatial skills in mathematics, a series of experiments has been performed from a simple and concrete material. This article describes one of these experiments. This concerns a hard-won skill space: spatial visualization. Inspired by Piaget's work little known, this experiment assesses visual-spatial skills through exercises on the representation of prints and sections of solids. Implicative statistical analysis has highlighted the recurrent difficulties in pupils and, surprisingly, regardless of their age. The results of this experiment are used to guide the work of mathematics teachers.
