Abstract	This research aims to understand the influence of the experimental science activities in the development of primary school student's autonomy in carrying out the tasks of those activities. For that propose, four hands on activities (I, II, III and IV) were executed by the students, with different degrees of openness, to evaluate the degree of autonomy evidenced by the students during their realization. It was possible to notice, globally, the evolution of the student's autonomy from the first (I and II) to the last (III e IV) hands on activities.
