| Abstract | SALGADO, G. Integration of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems for time analysis of Land Use: Parque Municipal da Lagoa do Peri, Florianópolis SC. Florianópolis, 2002,102p. UFSC. Santa Catarina. A time analysis of land use evolution in Parque Municipal da Lagoa do Peri, was wade. A thematic data base was created using interpretation of aerial photographs taken in 1938, 1978 e 1998. The analysis area is composed by a Environmental Conservation Unit of Santa Catarina island. A large area covered with secondary vegetation in advanced stages of regeneration, was studied. Here, Lagoa do Peri represents an important fresh water source which is being used for local comunities supplying. The interpreted data obtained using the aerial photographs was geo referenced in a cartographic base and then input in a Geographic Information System, allowing to compose thematic maps of each time serie and to do analysis of temporal transformations. The results of time analysis on GIS based show how the use and land cover modifications happened, considering anthropic aspects, regenerating process of vegetation, evolution of agriculture and farm, reforestation, origin and expansion of the urban area. The thematic cartographic data structured on GIS were used to produce a database in digital format. Periodic upgrades will be possible, becoming an important tool for management, monitoring and environmental conservation of the park area. |
