Abstract	The article discusses the use of switched reluctance motors (SRM) for high speed drives home appliances. A comparison of twophase 4/2 and threephase 6/2 design motors, based on field calculatio ns. Three machines was taken into consideration with: symmetric rotor, symmetric rotor with discrete air gap and asymmetric rotor with discrete air gap. For both analyzed cases, the structure 4/2 and 6/2 static characteristics was calculated. Posted conclusions on each design.
