| Abstract | In this study an analysis was carried out in urban planning in relation to soil permeability as a way to reduce flood risks. It was also evaluated the coefficient of surface runoff (C), mainly in the states of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, and compared to forest regions. It was identified that the accelerated growth of the cities in comparison to the predicted in the master plan and its neglect with the subject, caused stagnation of improvements related to the runoff of rainwater. And that some solutions can be deployed in a way that considerably reduces the volume of these floods and contributes to the replenishment of groundwater through permeable asphalts and green growth. |
