Abstract	This paper describes two optimization models to solve the problem of teacher allocation in brazilian institutions of superior education. A wide variety of works on timetabling are found in the literature. The main characteristic of this work is that it is based in parameters defined in the brazilian legislation and in aspects of administrative and financial management. The model is capable to indicate an efficient allocation, respecting the legal requirements and quality parameters, becoming a useful tool, mainly for private institutions, who has to support with its own resources, to define the timetable. The model is structured based on a process for constructing timetables, running in the final stage to get the teacher allocation. At the end, results of tests with real instances in commercial optimization softwares are showed.
