Abstract	Objective: To evaluate the presence and extent of the attributes of Primary Health Care (PHC) and compare the range of atributes in both PHC models. Method: Evaluative, descriptive and quantitative study conducted with 25 health professionals, fourteen who work in the Family Health Strategy (FHS) and eleven who work in traditional basic health units (TBHU). Data collection was conducted through interviews using the instrument primary care assessment tool. Results: the accessibility attribute showed a negative score in the FHS and in the TBHU; the other scores of longitudinality, coordination and comprehensiveness were positive for both services. Conclusion: In the professionals' point of view, PHC has a high development in most of the evaluated attributes. Comparing the two models, the FHS had higher values in seven attributes and in the general and essential scores. However, the development of accessibility is low, characterized by organizational barriers in the two types of services and in components of other attributes such as counter-reference, the importance of information about customers' lifestyle and the participation in local health councils.
