VIOLÊNCIA SIMBÓLICA CONTRA OS IDOSOS: forma sigilosa e sutil de constrangimento

Abstract	Este artigo aborda a construcao conceitual da violencia simbolica no contexto multifacetado da violencia contra a pessoa idosa. Para tanto, destaca a articulacao do pensamento de Pierre Bourdieu sobre o poder simbolico e as pistas de reflexao filosoficas de Simone de Beauvoir. Resgata as reflexoes e analises que revelam quatro eixos tematicos que circunscrevem expressoes dessa violencia sutil, suave, invisivel que impoe ao idoso um modo dependente e submisso de ser velho: a violencia da mudanca de habitos; a violencia da infantilizacao; a violencia da negacao da sexualidade e a violencia da destituicao de autonomia, cujos aspectos se constituem numa ampliacao do horizonte analitico do fenomeno contemporâneo da violencia contra o idoso. SYMBOLIC VIOLENCE AGAINST THE ELDERLY: private and subtle constraint Abstract: This article approaches the conceptual construction of symbolic violence in the context of several kinds of violence against senior citizens. For that it is emphasized the articulation between Pierre Bourdieu´s thought about the symbolic power and the philosophical reflection tracks of Simone of Beauvoir. This paper highlights the reflections and analysis developed that revealed four thematic axes that bound expressions of that subtle, soft and invisible violence that imposes a dependent and submissive way of aging for senior citizens: the violence of the change of habits; the violence of the childishness; the violence of the denial of the sexuality and the violence of the autonomy deprivation. This paper is an amplification of the analytic horizon of the contemporary phenomenon of violence against senior citizens. Keywords: Violence, senior, symbolic violence.
