| Abstract | The objective of this study is to determine the psychometric properties of the Survey of Perceived Organisational Support (SPOS) in a sample of staff at a higher education institution in South Africa. A cross-sectional survey design with convenience quota nonprobability sample (N =388) was used. Exploratory factor analyses, Cronbach alpha coefficients, Product correlation coefficients and MANOVAS were used to analyse the data. The results showed a two-factor solution for the SPOS. The two scales showed satisfactory internal consistency. Recommendations are made for future research and practise. |
