| Abstract | This study investigated the moderating effect of work stress on the relationships between dimensions of leader member exchange (LMX) and job satisfaction. 490 investment consultants were used to test our hypotheses via hierarchical moderated regression analyses. Our results revealed that work stress played moderation role on the relationships between contribution and loyalty dimensions of LMX and job satisfaction. However, work stress was not a moderator for affect and professional respect dimensions. Further, we found that all dimensions of LMX were positively related to job satisfaction. Some suggestions for future research are offered. |
